Jenny Eclair
With her trademark high-octane performances and earthy, eyebrow raising routines, Jenny is regarded as one of the countrys best loved stand-up comediennes and was the first woman to win the coveted Perrier Award.
Television audiences will recognise Jenny as a regular contributor to Grumpy Old Women, The Grumpy Guides, Grumpy Old Holidays and Its Grim up North. She has made appearances on Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC Two), Celebrity Fame Academy (BBC One), The Joan Rivers Position and Room 101 (BBC Two). Other TV credits include hosting The Perrier Awards (Channel 4), The BBC New Comedy Awards (BBC One), The British Comedy Awards The Fun Goes On (ITV 2) and the Eurovision Song Contest (BBC Three). Jenny has also been the voiceovers for A Place in France (Channel 4) and Celebrity Fit Club (ITV1).
She is one of the stars of Grumpy Old Women Live, the show she co-wrote with Judith Holder. This is the latest in a string of stage credits including West End runs appearing in Steaming, Mums the Word and The Vagina Monologues. She has also written a number of one-woman plays including the critically acclaimed Andy Warhol Syndrome, which was also adapted for BBC Radio 4.
Jenny is an established radio broadcaster with her own Saturday morning show on Londons LBC. In addition she has been a regular panellist on Sorry I Havent Got A Clue (BBC Radio 4).
As a novelist Jenny has enjoyed great acclaim for her novels Camberwell Beauty, Having a Lovely Time and the non-fiction Book of Bad Behaviour. As a writer she has contributed articles and columns for The Evening Standard, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mirror, She Magazine and Essentials Magazine.
